A few more strokes and Dan let go, just before Theo thought he was going to lose it. Then the dildo disappeared, and he whimpered. Dan moved up between his thighs, pulling Theo forward by his hips as he slid his cock into him.
"Yes, Daddy. So good."
"I love taking you bare, boy," Dan growled, snapping his hips forward.
"I love it too. I need it."
Theo felt his balls tighten, Dan edging him closer and closer to the brink. When he pulled out, Theo could feel him adding more lube and then the dildo was back, breaching him but pausing just past his entrance.
"I want you to take a deep breath and breathe out fully. Ready?"
Theo wasn't ready. He wasn't sure he'd ever be ready. He could feel the head of Dan's cock pushing at his stretched rim, just above the dildo. It was surreal and wonderful and terrifying. And he wanted it so bad. Fear wasn't enough to stop him.
"I'm ready," he rasped out, already trembling.
"Such a good boy." Dan's voice was gentle as he looked down at him with proud eyes. Theo sucked in a deep breath and exhaled just like he'd been told to do. For a second, he saw stars, a dazzling mixture of light flashing across his vision as the pain knocked him off kilter.
"Daddy, I can't, too much. It's... no, it's too much."
He could feel Dan pause, and when his vision refocused, Dan's concerned face was inches from his.
"Are you wanting to use your safe word?"
Theo shook his head. He didn't. But it still felt overwhelming.
Dan nodded, and eased forward, the dildo and his cock gliding together and stretching Theo more than he'd ever been before.
"Fuck. Oh, fuck, that's...."
But he knew Dan would continue, until he used the safe word; no amount of pleading or no would make him stop.
"Try and relax. You need to stop tensing, baby. Let me in. You can do this."
Theo moaned, his eyes smarting and he cried out, as Dan slowly stretched him more, pushing in further. He was starting to feel light-headed, his senses swirling in a mix of pain and pleasure, one seemingly melting into the other. He whined, no longer able to form words.
"Baby, look at me. Theo?"
The use of his name grounded him fast and he met Dan's gaze.
"Breathe and look at me."
He did as instructed, grateful that Dan had sensed he was losing it a little.
Dan pushed deeper and before Theo knew what was happening, he was crying out. “I’m going to come."
His announcement seemed futile as his orgasm ripped through him, sending him to glorious heights, Dan gripping his thighs and fucking him slowly, thrusting into him and making his orgasm last forever.
As soon as he'd come, he felt lifeless and could do nothing but lie there as Dan eased back out, taking the dildo with him and then leaning over his stomach he worked his cock furiously, until moments later, cum shot onto Theo's stomach.
Theo couldn't take his eyes off Dan—the way he looked, so proud and there was something else there too. Theo knew what it was. He recognized it because he felt it too. The deepest most amazing love he'd ever felt for another human being.
"That was incredible," he said, after taking a moment to come back down.
"Are you okay? Do you hurt?"
"Yes, a little. But it feels good. I want to do it again."
Dan chuckled and caressed his face, kissing him softly. Then he climbed off the bed.
"We can and we will. But right now, I'm going to clean you up and tuck you into bed. Then I'm going to wrap you in my arms and hold you all night long." He turned to go but paused, looking back at Theo, his gaze full of admiration. "You did so good. I knew you could do it. Thank you for trusting me to give you this."
Theo smiled, still blissed out from the dizzying heights he'd reached. "You're the only one I'd ever trust to do that with, because you're my Daddy."
Family Fortunes
Breakfast had sounded like a good idea when he'd first arranged it with his parents. But now, as he gripped Theo's hand tighter than usual, his heart was pounding. Maybe lunch would have been better. Or maybe not introducing them at all was the idea he should have went with.
Dan swallowed back the nervous energy that was tightening his throat, restricting his airways and making him feel sick. He watched Theo from the corner of his eye as they wandered through the Parisian streets. His boy was gorgeous, smart, and he was more certain than ever that he was the one. He just hoped all his surprises went to plan.
"You okay? You're very quiet this morning?" Theo's eyes flickered with concern and Dan shot him a wide smile.
"Yes, baby. I'm just a little jet lagged and tired after last night."
"Well, at least you're not walking funny."
Dan shook his head and squeezed Theo's hand. "Are you still sore? We can cancel breakfast if you'd rather stay at home. My parents will understand."
"No, it's fine. I'm just a little tender. And I can't wait to meet them. Anyway, it's Valentine’s Day. I don't want to be sitting in the apartment. I want to spend every moment with you."
Dan smiled and prayed the plan he'd concocted with his parents worked. He needed to get time away from Theo for long enough to set everything up. Otherwise, the entire evening would be a fail.
They arrived at the cafe just on time, its red awning shading the street from the morning sun. He spotted his parents immediately, seated at the furthest row of chairs that were facing the street. As soon as his mother saw him, she waved excitedly, and his nerves disappeared. He had nothing to worry about. They'd love Theo just as much as he did. Well, maybe not as much, but enough to make him part of their family.
"Daniel! Come here. Hug me." Constance jumped up, her over-sized sunglasses hiding half her face as she threw her arms around Dan.
"Hi, Mom."
"Good morning, Daniel," his father said, nodding at him over his newspaper. "We were just about to order. We're starving."
"Good, we're hungry too. Dad, this is Theo."
"Lovely to finally meet you, Theo. Sit down."
"It's nice to meet you too, Mr. Jenkins."
Dan smirked at Theo's nervous face, clearly unsure where to sit as he hovered in front of the table.
"Call me Andrew and grab a chair, Theo."
Theo nodded and plonked into the closest seat.
"Mom, this is Theo. Theo, this is my mother, Constance."
Constance sat forward, waving over at the waiter. "Theo, I'm very happy to finally meet you. This feels like a celebration. Who wants a champagne breakfast?"
They ate and chatted, while Dan filled them in on all the sightseeing they'd done. He was amused when Theo instantly hit it off with his mother. Though that was no surprise. They were quite similar in temperament, both a contradictory mix of feisty and shy. It was so nice watching them chat and laugh as though they'd known each other for years.
"I cannot believe you didn't see Notre Dame yet? Daniel, please bring your boyfriend there before you leave. I think they have a concert on later, some Gregorian chant or something. It sounds wonderful."
Dan raised his eyebrows, catching his mother's attention. "Not this evening, Mom, we have other plans."
Constance's eyes widened. "Oh yes, of course. Make sure you see it before you leave then."
Theo looked between Dan and Constance, eying them both with a confused expression on his face.
Fuck, Dan thought, they were doing a terrible job at keeping this secret from Theo.
"Daniel?" Constance sat forward, resting her hand on Theo's forearm as she stared at Dan.
"Yes, Mommy?"
Theo giggled and Constance rolled her eyes. "He's a terrible son. The worst. Always trouble." She winked and blew him a kiss.
"What were you wanting to say, Mother?"
"I was going to ask you if I might borrow you for an hour. I want to pick out something for your father for Valentine's Day and I need your assistance." She turned to Theo and rubbed his arm affectionately. "Would that be okay wi
th you, Theo? Might I borrow my son for a little while?"
Dan couldn't help but notice how Theo looked at his mother, almost adoringly. He felt a pang of pain, wishing that his boy had been loved the way he had.
"Of course. I can go back to the apartment and you can take as long as you need."
"Oh, no. That won't do. You're in Paris. You can’t sit in the apartment. Andrew will take you somewhere for an hour or two."
"Will I?" Dan's father looked up from his plate where he had been finishing off his breakfast.
"Yes, you will."
Dan had to hide the smile that threatened to break out as he watched his mother's eyebrows do a strange dance across her forehead.
"Oh. Yes. Yes, I will. That's right."
Oh god, Dan groaned internally. At least it was clear that his parents never missed their calling as actors.
He looked over at Theo, a knowing smile on his boy’s pouty lips.
"That alright?" he mouthed over, more than aware that Theo wasn't being fooled.
His boy nodded and winked.
"That sounds great."

"Mom, are you planning on buying every single bag in this store or just those three?"
Dan's mother shot him a look and smirked. "Daniel, these are necessary items. I need them."
"Mm, all of them? I doubt that. Anyway, you're supposed to be helping me."
"I am helping you and we're having some nice quality time together. I haven't seen you in months. Is it wrong for a mother to want to spend time with her only son?"
Dan grinned and lifted another bag off the counter, placing it back on the shelf much to his mother's disgust. "I think you didn't need to bring me bag shopping, that's all."
"Fine. I'll come back later with your father. Where is the jewelry store?"
"About four doors up. Come on."
They walked arm in arm to the jewelers. He'd been searching online for weeks and he liked this store the best. He hadn't wanted to buy a ring back home just in case Theo found it. He wanted to keep it a total surprise.
His mind kept wandering back to thoughts of Theo and his father, hoping that he was okay and that his dad wasn't telling him embarrassing childhood stories.
"What's on your mind? You seem distracted?"
Dan looked at his mother, her knowing gaze directed at him. "Tell Mommy."
Dan chuckled. "I'm thirty-six. Can you stop with the mothering?"
"Nope, never. It's my job. Tell me."
He shook his head. “I’m just thinking about Theo."
"Mm. That much I had already guessed, darling. What about him?"
"I just hope he's alright with Dad, and..." he trailed off, the real worry feeling too big to share.
"And what?"
They walked past the glass cabinets, diamonds and jewels glittering under the bright spotlights. Finally, at the back they stopped in front of a display case with rows of wedding bands set in dark blue velvet cushions. Dan stared into the glass, his own reflection staring back at him.
"What if he says no?"
The heat of his mother's hand on his back was comforting and he turned to her, needing some reassurance.
"He won't say no. He loves you, Daniel. That's clear to see."
"It is?"
"Yes. It's obvious. The way he looks at you. And it’s apparent you are madly in love with him too. But there are no guarantees in life. You must take chances, play the game, as they say. Some you win, some you lose. But if you're not in—"
"You can't win." Dan finished his mother's sentence off. She was right, as per usual.
"You remember what I told you when I used to play poker with my lady friends?"
"Not to tell Dad?"
Constance laughed and nudged his elbow with hers. "Yes, but what's the other thing I told you?"
"That to win the game you have to play with both your head and your heart."
"Exactly. What does your head say about Theo?"
Dan stared into the glass cabinet and smiled. "It says Theo is worth taking a chance on because we’re so good together."
"Alright. Now what does your heart tell you?"
He turned to face his mother, taking in her gentle features and the soft creases around her eyes. She was still beautiful. Always glamorous and elegant. And she was formidable. Just like his Theo.
"My heart says I've never loved anyone the way I love him."
Constance smiled and squeezed his arm. "Then the odds are in your favor, son. It's time to go all in."
He'd wanted a boy who needed a Daddy but instead he'd found the one. A soul made of stardust, and a heart lined with love. Theo was pure light, drawing Dan towards him and casting a veil of radiance across his life. He was worth any gamble, no matter how high the stakes were.
Dan smiled, now sure of his decision as he pointed to the glass counter. "I'd like to look at that one, please."
The Perfect Gift
Theo had always wondered what having a father would have been like. A real one. His dad had left when he was little, and his stepfather disowned him the minute he realized Theo was gay. It had caused so much damage that he never thought he'd trust anyone to stick around. But Dan had changed that. He had proved to him that not everyone left, and it had healed a part of him that had been broken.
That was why spending the afternoon with Dan's father was such an odd experience. He knew Dan was up to something, certain he was picking out a present for him. He wasn't going to be caught out, so he'd use this opportunity to pick something special for Dan. Especially when he could ask Dan's father for help.
He'd watched Dan and his father joking over breakfast, their close bond apparent as they chatted and shared stories. It made his heart swell and hurt at the same time.
"I hope you're not disappointed to be stuck with me, but Constance always loves stealing some alone time with Dan. He's her pride and joy."
Theo smiled and followed Andrew into a large department store. "Not at all, I hope you don't mind keeping me company."
Andrew glanced back over his shoulder and winked at Theo. "I'm eager to get to know the man that my son is so in love with."
Theo's breath caught, and he tried hard to hide his joy. He knew Dan loved him but hearing someone else confirm it made his stomach flutter.
"I'm just browsing. I already got my wife some perfume and she'll no doubt pick out something she'd love herself. Do you need to get anything, Theo?" Andrew stopped in front of a large display of designer sunglasses and turned to face him. "Are you and Dan exchanging gifts?"
"Em... yes. I think so. But I haven't bought his yet. I wanted to get Dan something from Paris. Maybe you could help me?"
"Certainly. What were you thinking of getting? Do you have a price range you want to keep within?"
Theo thought for a second. He'd bought some nice treats for his Daddy, toys and other things to have fun with for Valentine's night. But he wanted to get him something else. Something nice, especially after the previous night. It had blown his mind and he felt closer than ever to Dan. He wanted something special to give.
"I don't know. I just know I don't want it to be something like cologne. I've been saving up my money so that's not an issue. I wanted to get him something special, because he's so great and so good to me. And he looks after me. I've never had anyone care for me like your son does. I want to get him something to... something...." Oh fuck. Theo swallowed down the lump in his throat as his eyes smarted. Fuck, what was happening? He was standing in the lobby of the department store, with his boyfriend's father and now he was on the verge of crying. A tear slipped from his eye and trickled down his cheek. Okay, so he was crying.
Theo turned away, trying to still the tears that were falling now with speed. He twitched when he felt a strong hand rest on his shoulder.
"You can talk to me, Theo. I'm very open. Is everything okay with you and my son?"
Theo was mortified. He'd known this man less than three hours and here he was crying b
efore him, in public.
"I'm so sorry. I'm so embarrassed."
"Please don't apologize. Tell me what's wrong."
Andrew's expression was kind and concerned and it made Theo feel even more emotional. Theo wanted to tell him what was wrong, only he wasn't sure what it was. Something had overcome him, all these feelings about Dan, and he wasn't entirely sure what way he was feeling.
"I don't know really. It's hard to explain. Just being here in Paris is... the last year with Dan has been... he has really looked after me and I'd be lost without him. And then meeting you and his mom today. You're both so lovely and it's all just...." The words tumbled out in partial sentences, and he let out a long exhale as Andrew squeezed his shoulder.
"It's all a little overwhelming, right? But you're happy?"
"Yes. Ridiculously happy. Deliriously happy. Fuck, I've never been so happy. Oh—" Theo slapped his palm over his mouth. "Sorry, I didn't mean to say fuck. Oh great, I said it again. Shit. Oh hell, I didn't mean to say shit. Or hell, for that matter—ugh."
Andrew burst into laughter and he put his arm around Theo's shoulder, hugging him close and comforting him.
"I'll let you in on a secret. My son has been miserable for the past few years. I don't know if he told you about his ex and everything that happened, but it really damaged him. We had almost given up hope that he'd let himself find anyone. And then you came along. The change in him has been nothing short of a miracle. I'm telling you this because I don't think you realize that you're the one that's brought him back to life. He needs you, Theo."
The tears started again but Theo managed a laugh. "I'm a mess. It's crazy to be crying because you love someone too much?"
"Oh, I don't think that's true. I all but lost my mind when I met Dan's mother. Her parents weren't too keen on me so I did everything I could to be with her. I knew she was the one for me. Forty years later and I'm still madly in love with that woman. When you know, you know."
They strolled on a few steps, passing by the escalators and makeup counters.
"But I do, I do know," Theo blurted out.
"You know what?" Andrew said, looking at a display of leather gloves.
